Man Up, Brother!

“Man Up, Brother!” is a heartwarming and humorous Christian romantic comedy about a young man’s unexpected journey from immature slacker to Christian leader and international humantarian—thanks to a well-meaning but tough love challenge from his ex-girlfriend.

Amos Zamora is a 22-year-old guy who’d rather hang out with younger teens than face his adult responsibilities. His life revolves around video games, fast food, and his “chill” lifestyle, which, honestly, he’s not in any rush to change. Enter Delila Matthews, his girlfriend, who’s goal-oriented and comes from a traditional Catholic family. Kara loves Amos, but she’s tired of his laid-back attitude toward life—and especially his faith.

One day, after another “immature moment,” Delila bluntly tells him to “man up.” What she doesn’t realize is that her challenge will ignite a chain of events that will force Amos to confront his doubts, purpose, and potential in a way he never saw coming.

Determined to prove her wrong—and secretly hoping to win her respect—Amos begins taking steps toward maturity. From finding odd jobs, volunteering at weird and controversial places, and being a mentor to strange and unique people.

Amos starts to learn what it means to lead with integrity, humility, and strength.

But the real challenge comes when he’s unexpectedly thrust into a leadership role within the church—a position that calls for more than just “manning up.” It requires a heart for others, a deep faith, and the courage to step up when it feels uncomfortable. As Amos grapples with the ups and downs of leadership, he also realizes that his Delila is not as spiritual as she claims and that she is not the one for him.

“Man Up, Brother!” is a witty, faith-filled story of self-discovery, romantic missteps, and the powerful transformation that happens when a young man steps out of his comfort zone and into Yahweh’s calling. Through laughter, love, and a whole lot of growing pains, Amos discovers that the real “man up” moment isn’t about proving his worth to others—it’s about becoming the man Yah always intended him to be.
